Solar Electric

Solar Electric, also known as Solar Photovoltaic (PV) can provide electricity to your home for general use. PV modules turn sunlight into electricity, and are typically interconnected with the grid so that excess power can be sold back to your utility company. For more, see net metering.

The best time for solar is now

The cost of installing solar panels has decreased dramatically in recent years due to improvements in solar technology and manufacturing efficiency. In fact, solar module prices have declined so much in recent years that very little savings can be achieved by waiting for further technological improvements.

Waiting may actually mean you miss out on significant government tax incentives. Currently, owners of new solar systems can deduct 26 percent of the cost from taxes. That drops to 22 percent in 2021. Unless Congress chooses to renew them, current tax incentives expire entirely starting in 2022.

As the graph below shows, solar module prices have declined so much in recent years that very little savings can be achieved by waiting for further technological improvements. If you're interested in solar, now really is the time.

Green Earth Energy uses the latest technology in our designs and we're with you each step of the way from energy consulting, to design, installation, and even monitoring your system. So what are you waiting for?  The best time for solar is now and we're ready to help.

We want your energy bill to be net-zero

Our Goal is simple. We want to install the most economical energy system for our client's needs.  That means you'll receive a tailored design to fit your project. Green Earth Energy is so confident in our energy modeling and projections that we won't take your project unless we can decrease your energy bill by at least 60% and in some cases by more than 100%!

Green Earth Energy's engineers and installation team are trained to design, install, and monitor the latest in:

Rooftop Solar

Rooftop solar is the most common and often the most economical option for solar if there's minimal shading and because the structure is already in place.

Worried about aesthetics? Rooftop solar

keeps a low-profile atop your home or business.

Ground Mount Solar

Ground mount solar is another great, economical option due to excellent sun access. Whether your existing roof system is less than ideal for mounting or your property just needs a little more juice, ground mount solar may be an option for you.

Single & Dual Axis Trackers

Sun access is where trackers really shine and Green Earth Energy is one of the only companies in Sedona capable of installing this highly technical system.

Single & Dual Axis Trackers maximize your solar gain, following the sun and netting you more efficient energy generation.

Carport Solar

A ground mount that doubles as a parking structure is a good way to increase the value of your home and parking access.

Battery Backup System

Keep the lights on, even when the grid goes out. A battery backup system provides protection from unexpected outages so your home and business don't get left in the dark like everyone else.

Peak Shaving Battery

Optimize your energy use and save money. Peak shaving batteries can lower bills and offset consumption during peak hours. (3 p.m. to 8 p.m.)

Solar Hot Water

Solar Hot Water

Solar Thermal, or Solar Hot Water (SHW), can reduce water heating costs. Solar thermal collectors capture heat from the sun and are connected to your home’s plumbing structure to provide hot water.  Solar thermal systems include storage tanks and solar collectors. There are two types of solar water heating systems: active, which have circulating pumps and controls, and passive, which don't. Solar thermal can be ideal for heating pools and for homes using propane for heating.

Geothermal

Geothermal

Geothermal heat pumps can reduce energy needs by 50% and are virtually invisible

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, geothermal heat pumps (GHPs) are the most energy-efficient, environmentally clean, and cost-effective systems for temperature control.

Geothermal heat pump systems can reduce the energy needs of a building by 50%, and invisible once installed, and are maintenance-free.

GHPs use the constant temperature of the earth to provide cooling in the summer and heating in the winter.  A system of vertical (pictured) or horizontal pipe is laid underground to take advantage of the constant temperature of the earth. When regular heating and cooling units are struggling with outdoor temperatures below freezing or about 100F, a geothermal heat pump is working with the 50-60 degree temperature of the earth and therefore does much less work to provide a comfortable indoor air temperature.

Although the upfront cost of GHP is higher than a traditional HVAC unit, the lifetime savings makes the investment payout quickly. Contact us for an estimate and financial analysis for your home or business.

Energy Modeling

Energy Modeling
Sedona Energy Efficiency and Energy Savings

Years of energy modeling and consulting have proved time and again that improving the efficiency of a structure—whether it’s an existing structure or still in the design phase—is the best way to improve payback. Unlike many companies, we package efficiency improvements and conservation measures with our other services to reduce the overall energy load and increase the return on investment for our clients.

Our energy modeling programs can provide sophisticated information about how to increase a structure's energy efficiency. Whether you are an architect or a homeowner, building a new structure, or improving an existing one, energy modeling can help you choose the right methods and materials for the job.

Wastewater Recycling

Wastewater Recycling

Our company has designed, installed, and maintained waste water systems all over Arizona. Our experience designing systems for challenging soils and environmentally sensitive areas enables us to find the appropriate solution for any site. We also offer system maintenance whether we installed the system or not.
